Overview
Vohra Wound Physicians Weekly Shared Learning Sessions Group A 2025 serves as a forum to connect all Vohra Wound Care Clinicians to improve patient outcomes through practical and clinically relevant education. This series will offer practical strategies that can be immediately put into practice, based on the latest evidence and innovation in wound care.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Assess and identify various atypical wounds commonly encountered in our practice
  2. Diagnose atypical wounds with appropriate and available modalities (including physical examination, biopsy, imaging, etc.) ?
  3. Initiate appropriate treatment and manage treatment of atypical wounds
  4. Review the stages of wound healing and the pathophysiology of acute vs chronic wounds
  5. Review the stages of wound healing and the pathophysiology of acute vs chronic wounds
  6. Explain the indications for and appropriate use of selective debridement.
  7. List management considerations of wounds in palliative or hospice patients
  8. Examine strategies to prevent and infection using best practices for assessment, education, prevention and treatment protocols
  9. Demonstrate best practices for infection control during wound dressing changes, assessment, and care
  10. Introduce new EHR functionalities and review existing EHR functionalities that assist clinicians with the wound care practice billing and coding.
  11. Use clinical scenerios to illustrate and foster discussion about coding and billing of wound care visits.
  12. Review the hands on use of Doppler and Identify Tri, Bi and Monophasic Waveforms?
  13. Review types of wounds and characteristics for optimal wound healing with ultrasound MIST?, Provide hands-on experience with ultrasound MIST??, Discuss candidacy qualifications for ultrasound MIST
