The 49th Miami Neonatology International Conference is a premier educational event designed for neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals involved in neonatal and perinatal care. This comprehensive conference features expert-led lectures, interactive panel discussions, and Q & A learning sessions covering the latest advancements, evidence-based practices, and emerging controversies in neonatal medicine. Topics include neonatal respiratory management, nutrition, infection control, and innovative technologies in the NICU. Attendees will gain valuable insights, engage in collaborative learning, and earn continuing medical education (CME) credits, all within a globally recognized forum dedicated to improving outcomes for critically ill newborns.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Examine the latest advances in perinatal brain injury.
  2. Review ways to leverage the placenta to advance neonatal care.
  3. Review controversies on the treatment for meconium and the use of oxygen in the delivery room.
  4. Present an overview of rapid genetic diagnosis and therapeutics of the future.
  5. Provide an update on medical, neurodevelopmental, and parental consequences of extreme prematurity.
  6. Review evidence-based guidelines for neonatal red cell transfusions.
  7. Describe placenta-lung endotypes of bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
  8. Examine implications of platelets as immune cells for neonatal platelet transfusions.
  9. Summarize the key updates in the NRP 9th Edition and their implications for neonatal care.
  10. Describe the liver-gut-microbiome axis and fatty acid absorption in preterm infants.
  11. Provide an update on the use of probiotics and biotherapeutics in the NICU.
  12. Compare the benefits and limitations of maternal versus donor human milk in very low birth weight (VLBW) infants.
  13. Identify current challenges and evidence-based strategies for managing intestinal failure in preterm infants.
  14. Evaluate the role of micronutrients and trace elements in supporting growth and improving outcomes in VLBW infants.
  15. Provide an update on caffeine use in the NICU in 2025.
  16. Review the latest insights into the approach to the PDA in preterm infants.
  17. Analyze the clinical impact and management considerations of apnea, bradycardia, and desaturation in neonates.
  18. Review hemodynamic considerations in neonatal shock.
  19. Provide an overview of strategies to optimize neonatal follow-up and follow-through.
  20. Give an update on long-term pulmonary outcomes of moderate to extreme preterm birth.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and emailed to the conference manager by October 15, 2025.
Refunds will be issued, minus a $100 processing fee for the conference registration and a $100 processing fee for the workshop registration.

If both a conference and workshop ticket are purchased, the total refund will be reduced by $200.
No refunds will be issued after October 15, 2025.
